I remember 15 years ago in the "Black Community" if you wore any type of "Fake Hair" you would get talked about so bad. Now fake hair is almost a must in the "Black Community". Chris Rock let us know that "Fake Hair" is a multi-million dollar industry with African American Women in "Good Hair" as well as Caucasian women too keep a secret I guess. Make-Up is a must have for every woman (now a days).
If your not wearing any make-up now a days you get looks like (What is wrong with you?). Also The Weight Thing (first, you had to be curvy and now you have to be thin!!!!!!! Media did created a monster I believe. You have to look like Hollywood. Get the latest tips on Hair, Make-Up, and Fashion Magazines, TV Shows and Web Sites. 15 years ago I didn't know anything about "The Red Carpet" with all the Beautiful Hollywood people spend 100's of thousands of dollars to look how they look.
It seems like the Ideal Woman of today has to look Shiny and Glamorous, to be considered beautiful. Usually people have to see you before they hear you, especially Men. I thought that "Beauty Comes From The Inside" you would think that would be the case, but men and women look at the outside first. It's funny how I finally learned that after 29 years I've been on this earth.
I do wear make-up now but not all the time (with my skin I need too). Most of the time my hair is a Hot Mess! I always have issues with insecurities, but I have to be me and be confident in who I am. (Especially in Christ)
Confidence is the main key of been Beautiful. Knowing how to love yourself, even with your flaws. No one knows what is wrong with you unless you point it out. Be You!!!! Uniqueness and Originality comes a long way. It's okay to admire people but don't kill yourself trying to be just like the person you admire. Always put your own twist to styles but don't be crazy. There is such thing as over the top!!!! :-)
